The employees never form a union and strike. They never take effective action against their bosses.

Just like real life. So many of us laugh with Dilbert and then we do nothing to solve the problem.

Dilbert is corporate pablum masquerading as edgy humor meant to pacify the white collar worker.

The bosses are fine with our despair so long as we are productive little mice.

What's it going to take for average U.S.A. citizens to regain their courage???

I worked at a tobacco warehouse when I was younger....

There were 20 lift-trucks zooming around - all of them were ancient. Add in the dust and crap from the tobacco and you get a gist of the air quality we were subject to...

Certain days the smog in the plant was terrible. I can remember a few employees passing out, vomiting, etc.

Health & Safety decides to put in a CO2 detector smack dab in the middle of the plant, at eye level. Everyone could see this thing and read it whenever we wanted to...

It said right on the unit, something like, 0-10 is OK, 10-20 not so good, and anything past that was dangerous.

We routinely saw #'s in the 60's and 70's...thing was off the charts.

Managements solution? Replace the ancient air scrubbers? That would of been a great idea...but, alas, the great solution they came up with was to just remove the Co2 detector...VOILA! problem solved...lol.

I laugh about it now, but yeah, it was bad.
