Wow...she sounds like a fantastic journalist who's ready to win the Pulitzer prize.
Ya, right.
You don't believe my story? Ask any of my followers about my credibility. Then kiss my ass. Thanks.

(114,904 posts)It's clearly important to you to discredit her thus discrediting her story which touches on the Obama administration through the measures taken by the National Security agencies.
I'll freely confess I don't understand your perspective, which appears to be that defending the administration no matter what is of paramount importance. I get feeling that the President is unfairly attacked here, but why let that obfuscate important issues?
I think I know pretty much what you'll say in response to my post.
Oh, btw, I just read through her twitter posts and no, no it doesn't look at all as if she's nuts or off or whatever it is you're saying about her. Yes, she posted a pissed off and rather intemperate post. Are you aware that that's hardly a shocking thing even for reporters?

(62,325 posts)members of the Corporate Media and I've yet to see any of them do what she just did. Apologize for all the lies and distortions the have told and are still telling.
And you reminded me of something I might have forgotten. Speaking of being so completely wrong about something or someone.
You reminded me of some people here who owe an apology for attacking good DUers, while supporting a return troll, and disappearing without apologizing or admitting how wrong they were.
Maybe if YOU, who 'can't resist' were to remind them of their manners, the DUers who were attacked on behalf of an obvious troll might get the apology this woman gave for being wrong??
Something tells me you might not be interested, but I could be wrong. But just in case, because I could be wrong:

Okeydokey, line 1: A sarcastic dig at her (which line 2 is part of)
Followed by the post you find so shockingly reveals her lack of credibility as a journalist.
Line 3: And this one is the kicker: I don't think she's altogether there. Yes, of course you're attempting to demonize and discredit her and it does YOU no fucking credit at all to play coy and deny what's obvious and in your own words.

(30,439 posts)But remember, questioning a person's credibility in any way is akin to demonization and character assassination, right?
Never question a person's integrity, right?

(30,439 posts)I should have never said that I don't think she's altogether there.
What I wrote was a vicious and vile demonization. It was a wicked and outrageous example of horrific character assassination of the highest order.
I sincerely apologize.

(30,439 posts)They are tactics the Stasi engaged in. What I wrote was akin to fascism. I am utterly ashamed of my self for engaging in horrific demonization and Stasi-like tactics of the former Soviet Union.
What I did was fascist, Stasi-like and very authoritarian. The propaganda flowing forth from my post is absolutely sickening.
Never again will I say someone isn't altogether there.

(46,699 posts)It's a frustrating experience for many whistleblowers or journalists who truly have something new to add to the discussion. Demonizing them, or us, is very disheartening. Instead of responding with depression, it's best to respond with a hearty FUCK YOU!
Damn. I could write a list of the crazy things I've had to tolerate. The latest involved taking one of my husband's cousin's grandchild out to breakfast. We arrived in two different cars because he was going on with his journey afterwards. We just walked in and before we had a chance to sit down the kid was grilled by two couples who had been watching us from a table next to a window. They wanted to know where he was from. We handled it good naturedly, and sat down to eat breakfast. Throughout the entire meal the man who had the best vantage point kept looking at us with a judgmental look on his face. He had his hand on his hip and he shook his head in disgust.
What the hell?!!
I've reached the conclusion that no one can possibly understand that these kind of responses from the peanut gallery makes us stronger in our resolve because we have nothing to keep us strong but our convictions.

(36,106 posts)She claims it took weeks after the alleged Google searches for LE to come bounding in. She herself admits she doesn't know why they came, she's just speculating it was the searches.
That LE was at her home - probably true
That LE acted on a tip rather than Google searches - possibly
That her husband may have lied to her - possibly
That her son may have lied to her - possibly
That she's trying to get out in front of something by creating a media stir - oh hells yeah!

Some background on the latest hero, blogger Michele Catalano,
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023391018
I can tell you that she has become the darling of a few right wing forums.
Over to "oldcogerconservitivs" she's got em all over there yelling "expletive" Thanks Obama".
One thing to note. Michele Catalano can get the RW Wackos all stirred up without offending the M.I.C, one of GOP co. major stake holders.
If Karl Rove did that he would be ticking off one of the bosses.
One other thing. Using the "work" computer for personal business always has the potential to end badley.
