It is a scary prospect that the GOP could succeed in frustrating the voting populace so much that they vote GOP. It is an absolute certainty that they WILL make the situation much worse by taking health care for just about everyone who is NOT rich, get rid of the minimum wage, end employer benefits. poison the water, pollute the air, outsource the rest of the good jobs, end the safety net, etc.

2. Their effort to "frustrate" is two fold.

One part of it is designed to make RW voters angry and motivated to vote.

The other part is to frustrate the LW and get them to give up and stay home.

This, plus other efforts to suppress the left learning vote overall.

3. They are trying to keep people from voting

They know they have a hard core, brainwashed base who live in well-defined areas. Those folks will always be encouraged to vote. Everyone else, they want to discourage, obstruct, disenfranchise, block, steal, whatever, to prevent their voices from being heard.

4. Betting on the rank stupidity and gullibility of the American people --

Maybe. It'll be close, because they've successfully damaged most public education over the last forty years.

My bet is they fail. And fall.

They'll return as some populist third-party, but I really think we're heading for the Fall Of The GOP instead of the United States.
