Anthony Weiner, of Revere, arrested in assault over text messages

Oh, never mind. The headline was just too much.

A Revere man is accused of kidnapping and assaulting another man for sending text messages to his wife.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office says 25-year-old Anthony Weiner was arraigned Monday on charges that include kidnapping, assault to murder, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Weiner is accused of luring a 21-year-old Winthrop man to a location on Malden Street where he tied the man to a chair, beat him with a baseball bat, and threatened him.

The victim was eventually released and returned home before being transported to the hospital. His injuries are considered serious, but the district attorney's office says he is expected to survive.

Weiner was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Wednesday.

This same Anthony Weiner was in the news last year after a large brawl broke out at his wedding with multiple arrests made (including Anthony's mother). Classy bunch.

voting and the grocery and doctor's appointments!!

To anyone who enjoys a real read, here are the details of THAT imbroglio:

Wedding bells turn into police sirens during a reception from HELL that left guests bloodied and landed groom's mother behind bars

Officers who responded to the reception hall at around 12:20am walked in on a surreal scene straight out of a comedy skit: wedding guests in gowns and suits yelling and rolling on the ground in the middle of a sparkling ballroom.
The situation went from bad to worse when the groom’s mother, 45-year-old Darlene DeIorio, of Revere, attacked the bride’s mom, according to police.
DeIorio was then escorted outside, only to storm back into the room, where she was spotted by officers hurling a chair and pummeling another woman, at which point she was arrested.
Deloro says that at the heart of the confrontation was disrespect. According to the 45-year-old mother of the groom, the fight broke out after the bride’s mother began yelling at the groom's 70-year-old grandmother and waving her finger in her face.
