Now if he switches he will look more than wimpy by both the Left and RW.
This mistake is not the first time, navel gazing is wonderful but once the leak goes public a decision needs to be made. Getting the right person is less important than how the process plays out.
Just do it. No decision is worst than a bad decision.

but Janet Yellen.
Summers may be the smartest guy in the room, but he alienates a lot of people. The Fed is about consensus building. Yellen has experience the equal of Summers', but he doesn't have her ability to work well with others.
She's a much better choice.
