Booz Allen wins $900 million in security contracts

Booz Allen Hamilton Wins Major Integrated Cyber Operations Pillar Contract to Support C4ISR, Cybersecurity Programs

Published: August 2, 2013

MCLEAN, Va. — Booz Allen Hamilton today announced it has now won four of the Full and Open Pillar contracts involving a range of full system lifecycle support activities for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SCC Atlantic). Most recently, the firm won a contract with a total ceiling of nearly $900 million to support the integrated cybersecurity and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C4ISR) operations of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SCC Atlantic). The competitive ID/IQ contract has an initial one-year period of performance, with four, one-year options that could

extend the work through July 2018. SSC Atlantic, an engineering command within the U.S. Navy, delivers adaptive and secure solutions to many naval, joint and national agencies. Under the terms of the MAC, Booz Allen will support a broad array of cybersecurity, information assurance and information operations projects for the Navy, Marine Corps, and other components of the Department of Defense.

The scope of the contract also covers full system lifecycle support including research, development, testing, evaluation, production and fielding of C4ISR information technology systems.

“Innovation and adaptability lead the next chapter of cybersecurity, which means it’s absolutely vital that we leverage our technical and engineering expertise to help SSC Atlantic meet the challenges of the 21st century,” said Rene Castro, Senior Vice President, Booz Allen Hamilton. “We are eager, along with our large and small business partners on the contract, to advance SSC Atlantic’s objectives with the most innovative, tailored cybersecurity and C4ISR solutions.”

Head Start are just THRILLED.

Priorities, don't you know. Old folks have to go without meals and kids need to go without daycare and a jumpstart in life for the benefit of the new Security State.

If I was Al Qaeda (which I am definitely not, for those NSA observers) I would invest in Booz Allen, set up a major attack, sell the stock after increased funding, let things go quiet for the stock to drop, then repeat the cycle again.

Hell, who am I kidding? Booz Allen probably pays Al Qaeda to do this. There are probably a dozen Wall Street insiders that know exactly when the next terrorist strike will be.

And Supreme court judges are welcome too..

Exclusive Audio: Inside the Koch Brothers' Secret Seminar

Don't miss Gavin Aronsen's breakdown of the Kochs' million-dollar donor club.

Don't forget to check out Part 2 of this report, on the GOP superstar who rocked the Koch seminar crowd.

"We have Saddam Hussein," declared billionaire industrialist Charles Koch, apparently referring to President Barack Obama as he welcomed hundreds of wealthy guests to the latest of the secret fundraising and strategy seminars he and his brother ....

~Snip~

According to an agenda (PDF) for an earlier Koch seminar (Aspen, 2010) that accompanied the leaked invitation, previous Koch seminars have featured "such notable leaders" as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, Sens. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla.), and Reps. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Mike Pence (R-Ind.). Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas also have attended.

Several GOP governors made it to the Vail seminar in June, among them Florida's Rick Scott, Virginia's Robert McDonnell, and White House hopeful Rick Perry of Texas. News of the event slipped out after McDonnell put the trip on his weekend schedule; neither Perry nor Scott initially disclosed the trip to their constituents. A Perry spokesman acknowledged his attendance only after the Austin American-Statesman tracked the tail number of a plane belonging to one of the governor's top donors from Texas to Colorado. He described the summit as a "private gathering of business leaders."

And FISA court judges too:

FISA Court Judge Got Free Pass to Koch Anti-Terror Event

Chris Young July 7th 2013

U.S. District Judge Roger Vinson, who signed an order requiring Verizon to give the National Security Agency telephone records for tens of millions of American customers, attended an expense-paid judicial seminar sponsored by a libertarian think tank that featured lectures from a vocal proponent of executive branch powers.

Vinson, whose term on the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court began in 2006 and expired last month, was the only member of the special court to attend the August 2008 conference sponsored by the Foundation for Research on Economics & the Environment, according to disclosure records filed by the federal judge. The Center for Public Integrity collected the disclosure records as part of an investigative report that revealed how large corporations and conservative foundations routinely sponsor ideologically driven educational ...
