Dont be fooled.. Keep your personal preferences to yourself...trolling alert!

It has come to my attention that in the past ten days a LOT of new or low post posters have been soliciting a lot of personal info from us....where we live, do we take drugs...and so on....while this all might be innocent I feel from the tone and tenor of the posts that these could be fishing expeditions....so pl lease...keep your personal data and preferences private unless you wish to take a chance that that information may come back to haunt you....

I could be making a mountain out of a mole hill but I refuse to play the 20 question informational game with someone I have never even interacted with on this message board who then trys to solicite personal info.

And no I wont blue link them you can find them on virtually every page for last 10 or so days...

Just kidding!

People have conducted these pseudo-'polls' here for years. But there's no proof the questions are being answered honestly though, so I don't think the info is particularly useful to anyone

People post the most personal things about themselves on the Internet--on Facebook, Twitter, and even here. I'm shocked sometimes at the stuff people are willing to divulge about themselves. They post their every move, where they are at the moment, when their kids pooped, what they ate, how they voted, what addictions they're battling, who they're shtupping ...

Amazon knows what books they're reading and movies they're watching, what size shoes they wear, what credit cards they have. And this is all information that could be snatched in a New York minute by hackers.

I think we've made the choice not to live in a privacy society anymore. I, for one regret it. Especially because people have chosen to do this all on their own. You can't blame the NSA for that.

Wherein you have to give all kinds of info in order to "register" . The petition usually doesn't do shit, but but as soon as you sign it you get spammed by all kinds of people asking for money.
