(785 posts)It's a very clever way of saying that yes, what belongs to Caesar is rightfully his... but without specifying specifically what that is.
It's like me telling you that all the dollars in my pocket now belong to you, and of course me pocket is empty.

(7,605 posts)In my state if he bought a bag of Skittles he'd be lucky to get home alive.
His opponent would be Rick Scott- not one of those biblical pikers like Judas, Herod, or even Beelzebubba.

(12,448 posts)"Since it cannot be proven beyond doubt that he wouldn't approve (although even a casual reading of what he supposedly did say strongly indicates that he would side with women on this issue), he must therefore disapprove. Because somebody said so.
But, despite the fact that no one has yet, despite 2 millennia of study and hundreds of bogus attempts, been able to provide one scintilla of evidence that such an individual ever existed at all, the rest of the world is supposed to simply accept that he did.
"But, to demand proof denies faith". Do any of you ever read/listen to what you say? And if you do, do the relatively sane among you really wonder how so many of you are completely enthralled with the most idiotic ideas (saddled dinosaurs roaming the flat earth 6.000 years ago) ever imagined?

Smite the pretenders that falsely represent him.
Command all to throw their guns into the Sea.
Cleanse the feet of Detroit.
Etc.
Etc.
But more likely, declare that the world needs a fresh start and summon a great flood to rid the earth of burdensome population and destructive technology.
In either case, I'm voting for him and I'm agnostic.

(25 posts)he would not be in the GOP Today.
Doubt he would be a Dem either, like others have posted most likely a Socialist.

(24,761 posts)The Religious Right would have loved him. He would not only won by a landslide, he would have framed Jesus on murder charges and had him executed.

(29,047 posts)Jesus would be very, very unhappy with the Democratic Party. The two major parties in the US are anti-Christ, in my opinion.

(1,039 posts)You are forgetting his magic powers. The dude could walk on water, feed multitudes on the equivalent of a happy meal, and shrug off death. I'm sure He could use some sort of electoral power in the Bible Belt if it was part of His plan. Besides, His Dad is loaded.

(4,795 posts)But its all conjecture. In any case, it was a different time, and perhaps these days Jesus would of been an iPhone obsessed sexter.
In modern times--being the same dude--maybe he would of joined the peace corp or organized a religous Occupy movement.
