depends on the web technology used by the message board.

The "spies" could possibly read anything transmitted over the internet. Some posting sites transmit every keystroke to the web server before it appears on your screen. gmail for example.

Of course, they could just put a keylogger virus on your computer as well... and that might capture anything and everything, even if you aren't connected to the internet.
