Yesterday's revelation of the DEA getting information on potential suspects and then lying about where the information came from was shocking to say the least. http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023407784
But, imagine this. We fail to reign in the NSA, and all the agencies get that kind of data from the NSA. Heads up on where to look to find criminal activity. How far down does it go? How far could it go? Right now the Government is putting blimps over Washington D.C. that will supposedly scan the horizon for Cruise Missiles that could be headed in to smack the lair of our glorious leaders. Now, do with honestly believe that tech is going to be limited to over the horizon radar etc.? Do you think they aren't going to have cameras pointing straight down to look at everything going on in D.C.?http://www.nationaljournal.com/nationalsecurity/don-t-be-alarmed-by-the-drone-blimps-hovering-over-d-c-they-re-here-to-stop-cruise-missiles-20130726
So how far is too far to share the NSA data. We know the DEA is getting it, along with instructions on lying where they got it. So who's next? The IRS? Has the IRS already gotten information? Why limit it to Federal Agencies? http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/04/us/other-agencies-clamor-for-data-nsa-compiles.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&_r=2&pagewanted=all&
We have to reign them in now. Most of us on DU see that. More and more people in the nation see it. We have to reign in the people who are spying on us.
