Nukes or drones?

If Hitler, Mussolini or Tojo could have been taken out by a drone, it would have avoided far greater deaths, even if there were some incidental civilian deaths.

Military bases were clear cut and troop uniforms were distinguishable. Today, there are no military bases or enemy uniforms.

ETA: of course if this technology existed back then the NSA would have probably foreshadowed Hitler's genocide.

The assignation of any of those leaders could well have created a nationalist backlash against the assassins, creating far more popular dedication to the fascist cause, making things even worse than they were.
