http://www.alternet.org/tea-party-and-right/republicans-are-clearly-happy-destroy-countryif-they-can-get-political-leverageOn Sundays edition of Fox News Sunday, host Chris Wallace asked Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint if the Republican Party was ready to shoot the hostage and shut down the federal government over funding Obamacare.
Wallace asked DeMint, But, Senator, what they say, you know, is you don't take a hostage unless you're prepared to shoot him. And if you're going to go down this road, are you prepared to shut down the government? Because the Democrats are not going to go along with this.
Unfortunately, DeMint dodged the question, and didnt say whether or not Republicans were ready to shoot the hostage, in this case, the American people.
Jim DeMint refused to answer Chris Wallaces question, but the real answer is that Republicans have been shooting the hostage ever since President Obama was first inaugurated. Their hostage taking plans were laid out back on the night of January 20, 2009, while the President and many others in Washington, D.C. were attending inaugural balls.

(22,308 posts)They don't have a problem destroying America as we know it. That should be obvious.
Edit to add:
The real irony here is how hard they seem to be trying to become the "New Soviet Union". They always said they hated the Soviets but seem to have become their own enemy. Maybe they were just jealous.
Think about it a minute, "vote for our party or you don't get to vote". Who does that sound like? How about letting the poorer citizens of your country suffer while spending insane amounts of money on your military?
Most strikingly is the desire to have a very small minority run both the government and private sectors and eliminating the middle class. The one difference here is that the Soviets had government leaders running the corporations while the New Soviets are doing everything they can to have corporate leaders run the government. The end result is very similar but possibly worse since there is even less accountability for the ultra wealthy than there is for politicians.
