(CNN) -- By most standards Matt and Paige Figi were living the American dream. They met at Colorado State University, where they shared a love of the outdoors. After getting married, the couple bought a house and planned to travel the world.
They did travel, but their plans changed when their first child was born in 2004.
Max was 2 when they decided to have another child. The couple got the surprise of their lives when an ultrasound revealed not one but two babies. Charlotte and Chase were born October 18, 2006.
"They were born at 40 weeks. ... Charlotte weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces," Paige said. "They were healthy. Everything was normal."

(3,603 posts)....that poster who tried to compare the 2 hasn't a clue.
I had a friend who had maybe 1, or 2 grand mal seizures a month, and that was difficult to handle. The seizures totally wracked every muscle in her body, gave her migranes. She could barely function for 24 hours after her seizures. It was horrible.
...300 a week is unimaginable to me. That poor girl.

(45,358 posts)As I mentioned in this thread I'm the parent of an epileptic dog who used to have three-day-long grand-mal seizures every month like clockwork. She averaged about 8-10 major seizures over those three days. 100% pure stress for me and her. She had thousands of seizures in her first 8 years of life. Before I cured her it was absolutely ruining my life along with hers.
Believe me, those wonderful parents deserve their life back every much as their daughter does.

I'm very happy for this family.

(2,915 posts)Their purpose is to make money, not to help people. And I think a lot of people are wising up with regards to cannabis.

(45,358 posts)"I literally see Charlotte's brain making connections that haven't been made in years," Matt said. "My thought now is, why were we the ones that had to go out and find this cure? This natural cure? How come a doctor didn't know about this? How come they didn't make me aware of this?"
I totally agree.
Prohibition is pure EVIL. It should be illegal to prohibit people and animals from ingesting natural medicines.

(28,784 posts)I'm so glad Americans are hearing about the medical benefits of cannabis via CNN.
The DEA needs to answer for its continued intransigence in the face of life-saving medical uses for cannabis.
Prohibition needs to end today.
What's going on now with the federal govt. is insanity.

(23,272 posts)Yet here we have this administration punishing medical marijuana dispensaries.
Disgusting.
I can't believe Axelrod doesn't know about the CBD plant and its potential effects. Yet nary a word from him on this highly effective treatment.
K&R for a brilliant article. If the video doesn't makeyou cry, nothing will. Zaki's mom when she breaks down...
Stop the war on drugs right now!
