The old saying "When it rains, it pours" works in two directions.

Well, when I got here to Joplin I started putting out resumes and applications like mad. I also went to DFS (welfare) to get some help.

Well, they made an appointment for me to do the welfare to work program. The day before the meeting I land the part time job. At the meeting I was told I need to quit the job and get a job their way or face fines.

Today, I go to another interview. It is for an Associate Manager job. It was one I put in before the meeting with the Welfare to Work guys.

They will be calling me tomorrow after the criminal background check is done for a second interview. I have practically nailed this one.

But here is the rough part, the interview time will be sometime Friday afternoon, I don't know when the part time job is wanting me in on that day since Thursday is my first day and I will not have my schedule till tomorrow evening. They have told me that I will be a floater, so I could be working any shift.

Wow, this story I call life has more twist and turns than a soap opera!

I hope that the Associate job works! It will mean that I can get an apartment way faster. Right now I am couch surfing with old friends and family members.
