http://www.local8now.com/news/headlines/Mothers-stage-nurse-in-at-Chick-218779151.htmlKNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) It all started about a week ago when a mother was breastfeeding her child inside the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Parkside Drive and customers started complaining about her not covering up. That's when Jennifer Day took to social media to let others know what happened. Wednesday evening, dozens of mothers and fathers showed up at the restaurant to demonstrate a peaceful breastfeeding nurse-in.
Anna Hurley was one of the big pushers on Facebook to get the group together.
Richard Spiller and his wife echoed that opinion while they sat with their children eating dinner.
"If your child needs to eat and you're breastfeeding, then I think it's fine," Spiller said.

(1,712 posts)It's perfectly fine to nurse in public. Just show some damned class when you do it. If a bunch of people think you're being an exhibitionist, maybe you should think about that. Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's good manners no matter how you do it.
The worst I've ever seen was a woman sitting in the front row of a show I was doing on an outdoor stage. Where just about everyone could see her she dropped her shirt to the waist (she wasn't wearing any undergarments) and did The Breastfeeding Show for the next 10 minutes. We had people taking their kids out of the theater.

This sounds fishy at best.

(11,411 posts)Really it's better to do so than have your hungry baby scream for the rest of the meal. I do lift my shirt as little as possible, but I don't use any special cover up or anything.
It's too bad that some people can't be understanding of this.
