Some seven years ago, I was told by a County deputy that I should not be questioning his authority. He threatened to shoot me.

My crime: I had been doing 57 mph in a 55 mph zone.

This summer I read in the newspaper that said deputy is being tried in court for his crime of molesting a 14 year old, over a several year period.

Be very very afraid of the people who have the keys to this particular kingdom. The domain of torture, surveillance, DFUI checkpoint and the rest of it has been handled over to people that are criminals.
