Is it just me or does it seem like we've entered "Berserk Cop Week"???

First the Seattle reporter intimidation and the killing of the 95 year old veteran, then the killing of the skateboarder in Miami, and now the stories about cops breaking into houses and abusing people. Instead of Shark week we have a seemingly much more dangerous predator on the loose.

of the 1.5 million cops in this country probably 300 - 400 thousand were at work yesterday. There are good cops everywhere too.

4. "There are good cops everywhere too." Yea, all those Serpico types turning in bad cops. Or not.

How is it that there can be so many bad cops (aka evil bastards)? They exist because they know that the "good cops" have their backs. They know, whatever they do no matter how unlawful, they odds are in their favor that they will be protected by the Blue Wall of Silence.

"Good cops" that protect bad cops are, in reality, not good cops.

It strikes me as curious that if there are so many good cops about, why is it that when one of them wants to start beating the shit out of a citizen, he seems to have NO PROBLEM AT ALL finding several others to help him out, but we NEVER see video of that one "good" cop stepping in and saying "knock it off, fellas".

11. + a billion! A "good cop" that's silent when bad cops commit abuses is a bad cop himself.

I know it's hard for the authoritarians to believe, but there's a lot of people in this country (including me) who laud Serpico as a hero.

Too bad there are little more than a handful of Serpicos in America's police forces.

6. These are the coming armed militia. The PA sheriff is an example of what is coming soon...

I do wish the government would go after them and their guns. They are not a "well regulated militia."

some of the press it deserves, but it's been going on for a very long time.

Constant escalation and militarization of what are supposed to be civil servants since the '80s.

Because cops are human.

If a cop is having a bad day, it's going to come out on his job.

Likewise a good day.

Remember "Hizzoner" Daley's goon squads?

"Bull" Connor's thugs in uniform?

Harold Breier's Milwaukee jackboots?
