Hilarity ensues. Many of my Florida friends jumped all over my shit, and DU's. No one actually refuted the poll results, just made nasty comments about me and "demon rat underground." Gosh...the south is still racist? Who'd have imagined?

(31,464 posts)We hadn't moved there yet. I drove down with my grandparents to visit my aunt & uncle who lived in Cocoa Beach. I-95 wasn't completed yet. You had to take Route 20 through parts if Georgia. My parents packed my travel bag. My grandparents loved this awesome new restaurant called McDonalds, and we stopped a couple of times and ate lunch in the car. I sprawled out on the big rear window deck of the massive Chevy and read the only book my parents packed for me...a biography of Martin Luther King.
