Rick Scott (FL) trying to pilfer tech businessmen from states with Dem governors.

Rick Scott riles Massachusetts leaders with bid for jobs

Florida's Republican governor has apparently irked officials in Massachusetts by sending letters to 100 business leaders there, suggesting they flee The Bay State and relocate here -- where the taxes are low and the temperatures high.

The Boston Globe reports today that Massachusetts' economic development secretary took issue with Scott's overture, saying that his state is recovering more quickly than the rest of the country.

The Globe quotes a couple of Massachusetts business leaders saying the state is too costly, and that Florida might be attractive to nimble, high-tech firms looking for relief.

But Boston's Chamber of Commerce President said Florida can't match his state's skilled workforce, financial services sector, concentration of high-tech companies and its top-notch universities.

the costs of educating a worker pool in a state that elected Rick Scott far outweighs any
"savings" in taxes.

Don't forget Florida suffered 8 years under the "education" Governor. The Universities
produce very little other than semi-pro football teams that win more games than they lose.

That's nothing to mock. In Florida, who you know is far more important than what you know. It's better to have a vicious golf swing, than an eye for legal detail.

In fact, if you can't juggle a few conflicts of interest, you probably don't have what it takes to make it in this state.
