The National Library of Wales has digitized and put online the Boston Manuscript of the Laws of King Hywel Dda. The manuscript was purchased last year at auction for £541,250.
This Welsh manuscript dates from the second half of the 14th century, and contains the Dyfed version of native Welsh law. The National Library of Wales was able to repair and rebind the manuscript, and has published images of all the pages online at http://www.llgc.org.uk/drychdigidol/bst/BST00001/index.html

that if you can speak Welsh you should find German easy too - there are similarities between the two languages. Is that correct ?

you may be thinking about about middle English which has similarities to German.

I believed you.
No - although this was a long time ago the article definitely specified Welsh : not middle English. Some associated info here : http://www.tregwernin.com/p/essays-on-welsh-language.html

(2,574 posts)2. Thanks for the info. I love researching
at the National Library of Wales. In fact, it is my favorite library in which to work. The staff is remarkably helpful. Aberystwyth is a really enjoyable town.
