Baldwin Gets MSNBC Prime-Time Slot

Actor Alec Baldwin will host a new weekly prime-time show on MSNBC.

According to a senior source in the cable news industry, Baldwin's show will air at 10 p.m. Fridays. It doesn't yet have a name, Mediaite reported Thursday night.

Baldwin, who is known for his strong liberal viewpoints, would not be replacing any of the current prime-time hosts, since the 10 p.m. Friday slot currently is home to MSNBC's "Lockup" prison documentary series.
