Florida policemen accused of forcing

women into sex and groin-punching during traffic stop

Two Lauderhill, Florida police officers were arrested Friday and charged with simple battery and unlawful compensation for allegedly forcing a woman into having sex with one of them and ordering one to punch the other in the groin, to avoid arrest.
..

Hartley is charged with two counts of unlawful compensation, which carries a possible 15-year jail sentence, on top of a misdemeanor battery charge. Merenda faces one count apiece of battery and unlawful compensation.

One of the comments on the article:

Florida, where instigating a fight and then murdering is considered self-defence, and an officer of the government raping a woman in considered him having received unlawful compensation. So Florida is saying there are times when rape is lawful compensation?

so, it must be accepted practice that is now being reported in the media. All of this comes on the heels of the Catholic Church revelations. Drip, drip drip. Ministers, priests, doctors, politicians, police committing one sickening act after another. People have always been and, most likely, will always be lowlifes.

... but ye gods, "unlawful compensation" sounds like a kickback from a hot dog stand or something.

And it is sobering to think that the penalty for "unlawful compensation" may be worse than for rape.
