It's a big help when you don't know if the Kochtopus is behind the products you boycott buy.

Just for caveats: I normally go to my local major grocery store chains, most commonly King Soopers/City Market. There are also Safeways and Albertsons in the area, but the closest store to me is a King Soopers. YMMV going to stores elsewhere in the country.

And when I shopped using Buycott, I found that many of the big brand names - Nestle, Bounty, etc. got red-flagged on Buycott as supporting some evil or another.

But when you buy the store brand instead of the name brand (at least King Soopers/City Market store brands), you're supporting your grocery store, which happens to be unionized. And you're supporting competition to many of the evil-doers like Nestle or Koch Industries.

This doesn't apply if you're shopping at Walmart in which case everything cent you spend there supports evil.

Just a little tip I thought I'd share. Store brands are your friend when you're trying to avoid sending your money to evil bastards.
