You always want to make good soup. You hunt far and wide for the best ingredients, you prepare them with care. You season, stir, and taste. The soup simmers and the aroma is tantalizing. The table is set and the soup is served. And then you find a turd in the soup bowl. No one knows how it got there, but there it is none the less. So the question is, knowing how good the soup must be, do you eat the turd?

A turd in hot pot of soup would break down and become gravy.
It's just a lousy "parable" and it doesn't make any sense.
If this is supposed to be "profound" in some way, or illustrate some dramatic lesson, I'm not feeling it. Sorry.
It's just disgusting.
