GOP admits conservatives are inherently stupid

GOP admits conservatives are inherently stupid:

“They have to back their incumbents and at the same time, tread a very careful line making sure that they are recruiting top-tier candidates that don’t run necessarily afoul of conservatives in a state..."The hope is we can navigate these waters so we don’t have Republican Senate candidates saying stupid things that will back fire 90 days before the election.”

If Cornyn and the NRSC had managed to enforce some message discipline and get their candidates to just stop talking about rape, they might well hold the Senate right now.

They attack the other side; those of us who can think and reason - by claiming that "47%" of Americans are illiterate and are somehow less American.

That 47% has become a very useful number for them to play their favorite game of projection; Republicans associate the number with Democrats.

I've read that comment and that 47% are white trash just in the past couple of days.

There's a weird duality about the Republicans and their larger movement. There's definitely a lot of stupidity on display, but the people behind the scenes, who formulate strategies and tactics, seem to show a certain villainous brilliance. Too often, for my taste. I think we may make a mistake to assume the entire movement is doomed by the stupidity we see. They seem to have some Lex Luthors behind the curtain.
