I saw Lewis Black perform live in Boston years ago.

Lewis mentioned something about Bush, and one guy in the audience yelled, "Kill him!"

The whole damn audience was stunned silent.

Lewis Black asked the heckler, "Do they keep you in a cage, and just let you out to see this show?"

Mr. Black put the asshole in his place, and the audience was right there with him.

THAT is the difference between them and us.

Anyone who calls themselves a Republican these days is almost certainly to be viewed not just with suspicion, but with fear. They are dangerous animals who should be kept in cages.

They dislike Obama for imaginary things like being born in Kenya, or being a Muslim

We were concerned about the country, they are concerned about their fantasy

What is it with it being okay to be this vocal about their backwards beliefs?

Since the Zimmerman verdict the racism and hate has become worse and more open. It's as if they were given permission to be open about it, hardly any holds barred.

There was plenty dog-whistling. Now they are more forthright and I'm seeing a level up from that. Just visit HuffPo for a few minutes and it's horrendous. Even worse on Yahoo, for instance.

anti-incumbant I stopped visiting that site. Yes, I disagree with the president on some issues, but she seems to be against any president in office at a given time.

...this guy is going, "see, I'm not the worst one, stop picking on me".
Bottom line, I think he should apologize and fade back into the background. I don't think he deserves any punishment from anyone. A very misjudged attempt at humor blew up spectacularly in his face. That is enough.

The broom handle/ toy butt thing.....the crowd cheering a proxy anal rape of anyone, I believe is grounds for a group action restraining order.

Watched this on The Last Word last night. Lawrence interviewed a gentleman named Perry Beam that was at the rodeo w/his wife and & a Taiwan student. He pointed out the announcer's derogatory comments about President Obama fed into crowd's response. Interesting interview--the link is listed below.

Says he's real good people and that if he was offended, it was probably very offensive. He's a supporter of rural living, FFA, 4H and everything of that nature and he said this was upsetting.

I'm more than a bit mortified right now.

they pretend they are putting out a dummy for the bull to run over - hence the stick to prop it up. The other clowns abuse the dummy - hence the clown playing with "Obama" s lips. When they release the bull the "dummy" comes alive and runs away.

Where they fucked up was making it a racist attack on a black president.
