I recntly posted a graphic on FaceBook of a quote by Michele Bachmann from Fox news Aug 1st 2013.

The quote attributed to her said;

"If every American owned a gun, we could shut down every police dept in America and save the US taxpayers $1.23 trillion a year in needless law enforcement. It's like we wouldn't need police."
Michele Bachmann Fox News, Aug, 1 2013

One of my friends challenged the veracity of this quote, I have searched youtube, fox news, google etc, and I cannot find anything showing her making this statement.

Does anyone here at DU know where I can find a vid clip of batshit crazy Michele Bachmann making this statement?
I would appreciate a little help here, thanks in advance!

- you'd be amazed at how many of them I've never been able to find a trace of or they've been taken totally out of context.

You can come up with something really stupid and say she said it and people will believe you. I wonder if she understands that?
