Mika Brzezinski's new book "Obsessed" is not bad.

It is terrible. Embarrassingly so.

No, I didn't buy it. I got it free from the library. It is going back, mostly unread. The first two chapters were staggering in their lack of intelligent content but with an added annoyance: what she wants stressed she simply repeats in bold face what she has just written! As if the reader was too simple minded to get it the first time.

I will admit that I am now just looking up people and stuff I want to read about in the Index and skipping the rest until I can get back to the library and return it. But even that is boring and so phony sounding it is actually funny. Nothing is believable. Not her writing and not anything others say in the book. This thing is as artificial as her platinum head of hair...

I know. I know. I shudda known it would be this bad. That's what I get for taking it off the New Nonfiction bookshelf in the first place!
