Did the writer actually mean "literal" thought police instead of "liberal?" It seems to change the meaning.

"Liberal" would be nonsensical.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Without exception, the RW is about distorting/suppressing factual information, restricting education/research, and corralling independent thinkers into dogmatic parameters far away from heretical "others," -- all under cover of "individual freedom." What's more, they seem to suffer no cognitive dissonance at all from doing so.

I find that absolutely mesmerizing in an awful kind of way.
