you read Yahoo finance and there is a "market about to crash" article right above a "this is the time to buy" article.
Hard to not think it is all a steaming pile of bullshit.

WalMart have each missed analyst's earning expectations. Right now, markets seem to be in "Buy the rumor, sell the news" mode. Just a guess, though.
