It's either about Snowden, the hero, Snowden, the villain, Glenn Greenwald, Obama, or the the NSA. We The People paid Booz Allen a LOT of money for some kid to come in and gain that much access that quickly.
We should not be awarding them any more contracts.

(62,325 posts)push the privatization of security. There are now thousands of them, with over one million individuals who have 'security clearance'.
It's a very, very profitable 'business', this 'terror war'. Clapper is a former CEO of Booz Allen who walked straight from that job to the job of Director of Intelligence in our government. The Conflict of Interest is so glaring that it boggles the mind they have the nerve to keep doing it.
His lie to Congress has had zero impact on his influence over this government. And funding for the 'terror war' to these Private Security Corps will continue.
I would not be surprised if Booz Allen didn't hire a sub-contractor for the job of smearing Snowden, as HB Gary was doing in their bid to BOA, offering a smear campaign against Greenwald because of his writing about BOA corruption.
Where can we begin to dismantle this machine whose main goal is Profit? Maybe it's just too late.

(268,850 posts)was correct about merenaries - they are in it for themselves, they are never loyal to a country and Bushco's goons are economic mercenaries - all they want is profit - by any means necessary

Didn't we decry the Bush regime at some point on DU? Evidently not while Obama works to expand it; can't question the president, you know, it's somehow not Democratic.

(62,325 posts)is outrageous. Yes, there are a few on the 'left' who are pushing the same policies Bush pushed, but no matter how many distractions they try to throw around it isn't going to change the facts. Bush's policies are what we opposed and still oppose, no matter how many childish labels are flung around. And obviously someone is very nervous that they have not succeeded in hiding these facts from the people which is why there is so much desperation to try to distract from them.
In a strange way that gives me hope. It shows that they have not yet succeeded in a complete takeover and still need the support of a large segment of the population to keep on doing what they started under Bush.
