i don't think so. when i was in the navy we had an issue with some clown trying to recruit for the KKK. I was among those asked to try to infiltrate the group to see who was behind it. while the group leader was discovered and the group broken up, very few of us could put up with pretending to be that stupid. it would take a specially trained undercover dude to put up with the idiocy of the tea party.

You see, I am stating that most progressives have all those mentioned attributes... but I put it into the context of being a problem to have those attributes in politics. This magnifies the irony that politics lacks those attributes and that repugs are devoid of those attributes as well; it's a contrast between the serious and the overstatement. And finally it ends with the humorous hook.. progressives also lack funds.

edit for further clarification:

If progressives have those attributes they likely would not be infiltrating the GOP or the Tea Party to undermine them since that's the game the GOP and Tea Party would be more likely to do since they lack the attributes mentioned in my original comment.
