For the first time since 1956 Tacoma, Washington will be having a parade rolling down one of their main downtown streets. I personally feel that we shouldn't be glorifying the military. We have spent far too much on the military and it's manufacturers. It also smacks of cold war tactics and belligerence. How do you feel about the military marching in our streets?

(71,265 posts)we should honor in any way we can. Of course it would be great if we could honor them if we did not send them to war unless we really have to, and that we give them the benefits they deserve.

(16,974 posts)since this is about general parades. I think it all depends on what the parade is for. I would like to know what the one you are so upset is for. I know for a fact the ones around here have been cut way back due to budget cuts.
