Billboard: "You can't cover up 61 years of success with honor...Joe Paterno, 409 wins"

According to The Patriot-News:

Penn State football fans traveling eastbound on Routes 22/322 this fall will get a fresh reminder of former coach Joe Paterno's accomplishments.

A new billboard has been purchased near Thompsontown in Juniata County, about 55 miles from State College, to inform onlookers of Paterno's 409 wins and that "You can't cover up 61 years of success with honor."

It's a familiar look and message from a year ago when Penn Staters For Responsible Stewardship designed the billboard and placed a handful across the state.

The most-liked comment after this article? Sing to the tune of "Signs" by Five Man Electrical Band:

And the sign said
Joe Paterno still has his four oh nine
They must have buried their conscience way down in the ground
Where ethics are hard to find
They think Joe was a fine upstanding old man
But they are wrong
He put wins before little boys
Thus we have this song

Signs, signs, everywhere signs
Mocking human decency
Blowing my mind
Who in the name of God
Puts up these signs?

Not even with 600 billboards can you do that.

Or inaccurate.

I detest regional slurs, just for the record.

While there may be 61 years of success for JoePa, the honor portion of that statement is dubious in light of the crimes committed by Sandusky and that they were condoned by Paterno, the coaching staff and the Penn State administration.

Joe pa has 298 wins... his others were taken away due to his digusting hiding of a pedator.
and nothing can change the fact that Joe pa is as bad as the catholic cardinals who covered up sexual abuse
he is a dirtbag

Well, they do. And the rightful way to do it is to melt it down, cast a toilet out of the metal and install the toilet in a rape crisis center.
