7-year-old Boston bombing victim dancing with new leg
Four months after losing their youngest son in the Boston Marathon bombing, a Massachusetts family continues to mourn their loss while celebrating the recovery of another child who lost her leg in the attack.
Bill and Denise Richard recently returned to their Dorchester home with their 7-year-old daughter Jane, who now walks with the aid of a prosthetic leg.
“Jane continues to be an incredible source of inspiration — and exhaustion. The loss of her leg has not slowed her one bit, or deterred her in any way,” the girl’s parents said in a statement they released Thursday on the family website.
Jane continues to get used to her prosthesis but her progress has brought smiles to everyone around her.
