Going to show you my special place.

This is where I go to think or just to be alone. It's not completely private but few seem to know this spot. Anyway, I wanted to share this with you guys, hope you like the pic. Have a great night everyone, especially anyone I may have argued with!

We have coastline here in California but it doesn't run in a straight line like that. Looks so vast...

In Mobile, AL, there's a place, Crestview park. It's not a lot, just a gazebo, a baseball field, and a LOT of woods (it is in fact in the northern part of what used to be wragg swamp, and the character showed.) Anyway, the park's western border was defined by this neat stream that came from underground springs. Bright white sand, lots of quartz pebbles, and these tall sandy bluffs overlooking the whole deal. Those bluffs were sort of my "meditation spot" when I was a young teenager, I'd go there, keep my feet in the water (which was ice cold) and mutter over my problems, write stories, or just sit there and let my feet get wrinkled.

That was years ago, back in the 90's. I've since moved to the other end of the continent. Not too long ago I got curious and google earthed the place. It's been paved, and is now just another drainage ditch - the creek it fed into isn't any better, what was once a nice stretch of loose waterway is now a boggy drainage canal.

Anyway. I'm glad there are still places like yours out there for people! We all need that sort of thing.
