The goofy people in the land of conspiracy theories

are predicting dire catastrophies this month for some reason. I got several emails about Seattle being hit with a big earthquake today. I googled: Seattle earthquake August 18, 2013 and sure enough I saw a whole list of sites who falsely reported this today including the Daily Mail. Apparently, some supposed ex-NASA whistleblower is predicting some massive quake in the Seattle area any day, but the disaster vultures jumped the gun today. I read about this in a blog called "Before It's News."

A whole lot of weird people online. Who would start a false rumor about an earthquake?

Its like a form of gambling. Come to think of it, that might make for a good website: Doom casino.

Unfortunately, some of it appears to be accepted as fact by otherwise thinking people.....such as Eddie Snowden being a courageous exposer of info and the Obama administration being worse than Bush's somehow(it isn't), that we're already a police state, or that civilization is on the verge of collapse(it's not), etc.....or half of the scarier climate pieces you see on ThinkProgress......

I mean, come on, folks, you'd think our fellow Democrats were more rational, at least.....but I'm afraid we've got our fair share of nuts, too, with or without the CTs(just look at the climate doomers for example.)
