Rick Perry to headline California GOP convention in October, attempt to poach more businesses

Okay, I made that last part up. But it wouldn't surprise me. Leave it to California repukes to invite someone who has shown nothing but contempt and disdain for our state.

http://blog.sfgate.com/nov05election/2013/08/19/2016-buzz-texas-gov-rick-perry-to-headline-ca-gop-convention-in-october/

In a move sure to ramp up speculation about a 2016 run for the White House, Texas Gov. Rick Perry will address hundreds of activists in the nation’s biggest state GOP in October as the headliner at the California Republican Party convention in Anaheim....

Delegates at the three day gathering from Oct. 4-6 will also hear from RNC co-chair Sharon Day — who’s a leader in the “Women on the Right Unite” movement to elect more GOP women to office — on Friday night....

Also coming to address CA delegates, he said: Rep. Greg Walden, R-Oregon, who is chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee — and who will focusing on “how California is ground zero for maintaining the House” in 2014 midterm elections.

UPDATE: Reaction from California Democratic Party spokesman Tenoch Flores — “California voters aren’t looking to Republicans — much less Republicans in Texas — for answers. Democrats here are busy implementing California-based solutions and the results speak for themselves. Thanks to Governor Brown and Democratic leaders, California has balanced budget, gridlock in Sacramento is a thing of the past and we’re investing in education once more.”

"Maintaining" the House? Looks like someone's a little nervous?
