I checked my local listings on the al jazeera america website, but the channel isn't coming up.

Now I'm trying to get on the website, and it's not coming up either.

7. So far, they're just introducing the channel, promising to cover more NEWs, no bias, etc.

Sounds like time for New Yorkers to DUMP Time Warner cable and get Dish Network instead (and pick up RT, FSTV, and LINK TV as well to boot!)

I'm watching it on 215 now on Dish Network (and it still is showing as CURNT on channel listing). I wonder if tomorrow it will switch to AJA or something like that in the next feed.

I'm not home right now or I would check it out. The Al Jazeera site says that it's on channel 189.

9. I'm not sure how well this will work. Straight factual news reading with no opinion at all...

... well, I'm not sure people will watch it. I'm very interested in seeing the reaction.

I'm watching the preview and hope it lives up to its commitment to real journalism. I'm ready for some real news, as opposed to the infotainment being dished out by the corporations.

The Al Jazeera English live stream is no longer available in the U.S.

Starting tomorrow, August 20th, you’ll be able to watch more of the in-depth reporting and great content you love on the new Al Jazeera America television channel.

I watched it regularly via computer on TV.

Been watching AJE for years here in Norway, and it's really not much of a big deal. A 24 hrs. news network just like any other.
