http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/23236793/some-member-of-72-dolphins-refuse-white-house-inviteI do not like to get personal but these guys are idiots. The WH is commemorating the team 41 years after their undefeated season because they didn't get to go to the WH in 73. You know why because the republican president at the time was up to his you know what in the Watergate scandal and did not have time for the team. This is what I heard on CNN this morning. Why the visit never happened.
I am sure these 3 buffoons would of had no problem seeing Nixon in 73 because he wasn't "ruining" the country.

(3,166 posts)"We've got some real moral compass issues in Washington," Hall of Fame center Jim Langer told the Sun-Sentinel's David Hyde. "I don't want to be in a room with those people and pretend I'm having a good time. I can't do that. If that [angers] people, so be it."
"I'll just say my views are diametrically opposed to the President's," Manny Fernandez said. "Enough said. Let's leave it at that. I hope everyone enjoys the trip who goes."
And former offensive lineman Bob Kuechenberg added: "I want to be careful, because mom said if you have nothing good to say about someone, then don't say anything," he told the newspaper. "I don't have anything good to say about someone.
I just don't believe in this administration at all. So I don't belong. Anyone on the left or the right has to respect one man's opinion.
"I don't belong there, I'll tell you that," Kuechenberg continued. "Without being critical, I can just tell you I don't belong. It would be hypocritical of me to be there. I don't want to do that. I just don't believe in this administration at all. So I don't belong. Anyone on the left or the right has to respect one man's opinion."

(4,185 posts)Our President is more than happy to waste an afternoon and change the narrative any way he can.
As far as the three "protesters" are concerned. This happens every year regardless of who's in office. Some buffoon stays home and cries.

(170,964 posts)so what? Their rudeness and ignorance hopefully didn't make the occasion any less happy or memorable for the team.
And for the Prez, damned if he does...sigh.
