Do you trust the "national security state" more just because there's a Democratic president?

If you answered "yes", say why.

Certain Congress members, on the other hand, seem to stay there forever. Justices, too.

I personally have trouble reconciling pushing for that (which I do) while also freaking out that they may know whom I call.

on those new and improved NSA servers in Utah. After all, that was in the original TIA design that Bushie had -- and we all know after this summer that only the codenames changed.

To re-cast the OP: would you trust a national health insurance system run by a Republican president?

than a simple poll.

We need to have a discussion. There are several bills that we should be discussing, not some simple poll.

One thing that worries me in everything. Not just security, but even the ACA. It was written so that the Adminstartion can delay implementation or slow it or change it at whim- as they are doing.

Heaven forbid we have President Paul in 3 years- how will he use that power?

Tear down the server center in Utah.

Tear it down. The trust is gone. Completely gone.

Tear it down.

In the deepest of chess theories, and in light of the fact that several Democratic Senators are blowing the whistle, the daylight between Bush and Obama is bright.

I really feel that Obama is wanting to bust down the secret spying but can not confront it head on. Mine may just be rank optimism, but optimism that were any R be the president would be non-existent.

Yes, there is a difference in Democrats and Rats.
