ABC: The Top Five Priorities of the GOP

More at: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/top-priorities-gop/story?id=20016715

2. Outreach

In its post-2012 autopsy, also called the "Growth and Opportunity Project," the RNC focused on reaching out to women, minorities, and younger voters, but the party is stressing outreach in general, moving from a battleground state focus to all 50 states, to better compete with Democrats.

Chris McNulty, the RNC's political director, told reporters the party has more than 150 staff members in the field and that number will grow to 200 by the end of next month. By the end of 2013, McNulty said they will have field staffers in all 50 states.

"What we're doing together is unprecedented for the RNC, for any party committee," Priebus told members in Boston. "We already have more people in the field than we do in headquarters. That's unheard of in an off-year. In some cases, that's unheard of in an election year."

Some of the party leaders who attended the confab said outreach was as much about tone as field work, stressing that after the occasional tone-deaf gaffes of some candidates last cycle, Republicans must learn how to communicate effectively and compassionately on issues such as abortion and immigration, amongst others.

They have 200 people focusing on a 50 State strategy. That's 4 people per state. Color me unimpressed.

And they are still emphasizing "tone" over field (or any other real) work.

I don't think they understand the issue yet. Redistricting advantages will only last so long and, they may really be looking at the dust bin of history if they don't get their act together before 2020.

Personally, I'm looking forward to our new 2 party system of Democrats and Progressives defining the new "right" and "left" in America.

More of this really good read at: http://www.hcpress.com/letters-to-the-editor/letters-a-new-low-point-in-claiming-to-love-america-but-hate-americans.html

In fact I invite anyone to google the phrase “Tea Party disrupts meetings” and enjoy the laundry list of links that come up.

At least we didn’t follow Luke Eggers home. Unlike these true patriots here. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/07/20/996640/-Tea-Party-Thugs-Disrupt-Peaceful-Rally-in-Roseburg-Oregon

And this is what truly amazes me about the complete hypocrisy and radicalism that has infected your party Republicans. As you seem to have hit a new low point in claiming to love America, but hate Americans. And god forbid we try to use the values the country was founded on to say so! Much less try to vote right?

Muslim Test time. If it was tricorn hats and gun toting “good” Americans at the capital every Monday? Ones with signs that said “Impeach the half white Muslim!” Or perhaps people breaking into a rousing chrous of “Ba Ba black sheep.” http://freakoutnation.com/2013/08/07/republican-protesters-sing-bye-bye-black-sheep-hold-racist-signs-impeach-the-half-white-muslim/

subdivisions:
1) rig elections electronically
2) rig election through voter purges
3) rig elections through making voting extremely difficult for "those" voters that are left to vote.
4) rig elections through controlling counts where we can
5) put on a show about caring for non-white, non-male and younger voters. This is for show only.

Iowa GOP Chairman A.J. Spiker agreed, saying the party must "do a much better job of articulating why we are pro-life and why we believe in traditional family values."

"As for younger voters, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said the lure should be to "offer them a better future" and the message should come from groups like the College Republicans."

The year was 2004. The place was Florida Atlantic University, on the way into a rally featuring John Edwards and John Kerry. OBKid1 was 7 at the time.

She still has her "Kids for Kerry" badge.

..and you're right. It doesn't get much more smarmy than college Republicans.

Lying, whining, lying some more, refusing to do any work, racist statements, actions, and deeds, more whining, hurting women, children, the poor, disabled, the elderly, and anyone not a rich white man, more lying, more whining, and racism.

Edited to add: and cheating.
