Stephanie Miller is a Koolaide lover

Last edited Wed Aug 21, 2013, 12:28 PM - Edit history (1)

I can't believe the contortions she will go through to defend the persecution of whistle blowers.

I have no cable so I've been listening to my local "liberal" radio. She is annoying, think I've had my fill. Later comes a guy named Norman Goldman who I never heard before, but is way more intelligent and interesting than Stephanie's Howard Stern Lite, which is not all that funny anyway. I wish the station carried Democracy Now!

...there is NOTHING that Obama can do that is wrong, she agrees that she's fine with Obama spying on us, but bush was a criminal when he did it...nothing but disdain and contempt for Manning/Greenwald/Assange/Snowden...agrees that Snowden hurt the USA by sharing secrets, but doesn't know what those secrets were (in other words just goes along with the administration's meme)...so I don't listen to her anymore...

Norman Goldman I find is an acquired taste...and I'm not sure I've acquired it 100%, but he has way more gravitas than Ms. Miller whom I consider a centrist stool-pigeon...

What did she say about the sentence Manning got?

Is she also a Snowdon hater now?

I am now listening to Al Jazeera America or Thom Hartmann.

For the most part I like Steph. But not on this issue. Frankly it's as if she is channeling her Republican daddy. When Hal Sparks joins in it is pukeworthy to the 2nd power. Yesterday Charlie Pierce mopped the floor with her. Jim (the voice guy) is brilliant at what he does but arguing politics in his own voice is not his forte.

I'd love to see Mike Papantonio engage her.

...his recent spell on her show was dreadful...had to change the channel...he displayed a stunning lack of comprehension of the real issue and instead parroted the party line...

I really enjoy Thom Hartmann (except for his 'atheism is a belief/religion' stance)...seriously one of the most accidentally educational radio shows on the airwaves imho..

I have listened to her for years, perhaps as I said, I am tired of the same old schtick. We went to the Sexy Liberal Show and all of them were warm and welcoming. Just time for a break and/or change of venue.

left on the air. I like Thom Hartmann a lot as well, but he is in the "we have to support the Democratic Party as the only alternative" camp, so misses the cut. Dr. Mike Newcomb and Ed Schultz live there, too.

Then she had a TV talk show for a minute and after that ended she came back much more mainstream and corporate. Those Big Checks are pretty addicting.

and her show allows plenty of dissenting voices on this issue from the left all the time. It isn't like she shouts people down on this. Heck her side kick differs on her on many issues but she doesn't even boot him from the show.

It is an issue that is generally split among her guests too but she hasn't stopped booking her regulars that disagree with her on it.

She is hardly runs a heavy handed show nor does she force you to agree with her on every issue to get air time, or get invited to her show.

Because someone disagrees with you means you call them names like Koolaide lover and want to cast them out of your life seems vastly more small minded than Stephanie Miller.

Her two cohosts regularly tear into her for her administration fangirl talk.

What I like about the show is that nobody on there takes themselves very seriously. It's funny, and they talk about a lot of other stuff besides politics.

I'm confident enough of my own opinions that I don't have to hear them validated on the radio constantly.

It's the only radio show I listen to.
