He also can earn time off at a rate as high as 120 days for each year of good behavior.
This is not an opinion on Manning or the trial. It is just a recitation of what was reported in the media as simple fact.

I also read that it could be 7 years that Manning could be released. It was computed that Manning has over 1200 days that he has already served & also the days he was in solitary confinement would also be included. It was a comment posted on DU earlier that Manning would be eligible for parole after 1/3 of his time has been served & then factor in time for good behavior. I would love it if President Obama would commute his sentence at the end of his presidency.
