(23,725 posts)we worship sports way too much. In fact last year I got penalized on this board because I spoiled the results of the Olympic events and announced them before they came on the idiot tube!

(17,064 posts)although they're looking for drugs, not terrorists. Interestingly, the concert where I experienced the hugest cloud of marijuana smoke was a George Benson (smooth jazz) show with no pat-downs at the entry gates.

(16,058 posts)I think at the Toby show they were looking for weapons not drugs. No pat down just had to walk through the detectors.
Now the Prince show they should have done the pat downs. It was smelling very kind in the arena.

(11,785 posts)were discussing it. Lots of "well, who really needs a bag larger than X" type bullshit. (Diaper bag? Not that I think it's the world's greatest idea to take an infant to a ballgame, but it happens.) It was just a variant of the "well, if you're innocent, then you have nothing to fear" arguments.

(22,143 posts)I don't bring food to a game. I never really got that concept. Nothing is going to change from the same wanding and pat down that's been going on for the past twelve years.
