Jesse Jackson tweets that killing of Chris Lane ‘frowned upon’

The Rev. Jesse Jackson said in a tweet Wednesday that the killing of an Australian baseball player, allegedly by three Oklahoma teenagers who were bored, is “senseless violence” and should be “frowned upon.”

Conservatives and others on social media immediately criticized the remark as tepid and insincere — especially in light of Jackson’s and other black leaders’ strong reactions to the killing of Trayvon Martin, a young black man, by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman last year.

A guy is murdered in cold blood and you say such things are "frowned upon"? No, talking loudly in a library is frowned upon. Leaving no tip just because the waitress was slammed and couldn't get to you right away is frowned upon.

Murdering someone in cold blood is the most loathesome act one can commit, in my opinion.

They are also trying to compare this to Trayvon Martin.

Trayvon was targeted because of his skin color. Chris Lane was targeted at random. Are we to believe that Zimmerman would have followed Trayvon if he had pale white skin? Please. Also, these teens were arrested and charged immediately. Zimmerman? Not so much. It took a national outcry.

So two of the suspects are black and one is white. Does Jessee Jackson have to weigh in on every crime committed by a black person? Well if that's the case, which white "leader" needs to weigh in on every crime committed by white people? Who do we have to look to to condemn Adam Lanza?

Also, the kids said they wanted to see someone die. They never mentioned race. There is no evidence to suggest this was racially motivated.
