It looks as if Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe wont be lending Rick Perry any magic if he ever decides to run for president again.
Indeed, he might cast Perry as Voldemort in his own version of the American presidential election.
In a recent interview with Attitude, a British gay lifestyle magazine, Radcliffe, blasted the Texas governor for his anti-gay views, and questioned the authenticity of his position, The Guardian reported.
The straight actor said he has been disgusted, amazed, stunned by Republican candidates, like Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum, who have taken firm stances against gay rights.

(37,648 posts)Obama is merely stating a personal belief that he has held, which, BTW, he said is evolving. His personal belief is also the personal belief, you could say, of most people middle aged and older. Obama has also made it clear that he has not taken any steps to stand in the way of gay marriage, and would not, and additionally, would veto a constitutional amendment to that aim.
Perry and the other Republicans, OTOH, are stating that they WILL take steps to stop gay marriage, as well as civil unions, adoptions, and other rights that gays have rec'd (some of the Repubs hold the views of only one of these, or two or three of these).
It is a First Amendment right to state one's belief, and I would defend anyone's right to state his beliefs. It's a testament to Obama's honesty that he was forthright in his views, and additionally, would take the extra step not to let his personal beliefs interfere with legislation or court law to advance rights. That's how it should be. That is NOT the position of the Republicans.
