Sunday Talk Shows

Meet The Press -Rick Santorum

As the National Governors Association convenes its winter meeting in Washington this weekend, the country's governors descend on the nation's capital to address issues of job creation and the economy. Joining us exclusively, California Governor Jerry Brown and Arizona Governor Jan Brewer whose state's Republican primary is Tuesday.

The final Republican Presidential debate before Super Tuesday is in the rear-view mirror and it's just days before crucial primaries in Michigan and Arizona where both Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum are battling to be the party's pick to take on President Obama. Our political roundtable breaks down the state of the race with the very latest developments from the trail: Republican strategist and former McCain '08 senior strategist Steve Schmidt, Fmr. Democratic Congressman Harold Ford, Jr., Washington Post's Kathleen Parker, and NBC's Political Director and Chief White House Correspondent Chuck Todd

ABC This Week- Sunday on "This Week," it's battleground Michigan. He's leading the Republican field in national polls, and with just days to go before the key primary, can Rick Santorum score another upset victory in Mitt Romney's home state?

George Stephanopoulos goes one-on-one with GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum on whether he can secure his position as the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.

And in a "This Week" exclusive, Michigan Governor and Romney backer Rick Snyder faces off against Massachusetts Governor and Obama campaign co-chair Deval Patrick

Will a drawn-out negative battle for the nomination hurt Republicans in the fall? Will surging gas prices put the brakes on economic recovery, and on President Obama's re-election hopes? Governors Snyder and Patrick debate the key issues, only on "This Week."

Then, the "This Week" roundtable with ABC's George Will and Cokie Roberts, plus former Democratic Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, host of Current TV's "The War Room," and former Republican Michigan Gov. John Engler, president of the Business Roundtable, debate the state of play in the Wolverine State.

Will Santorum's debate performance this week slow his campaign's momentum? Would a Romney loss in Michigan cripple his campaign and extend the nomination battle to the convention? Will the latest culture wars over abortion, contraception, and gay rights distract from economic issues, and cost the Republican party moderate voters in the general election?

It's good to know what to avoid! Martin O'Malley on CBS looks like the best bet this week. Celinda Lake on C-span sounds good, too.

BTW... what does everyone think of MSNBC'S weekend mornings line-up? I am really enjoying Chris Hayes and Melissa Harris-Perry!

I hope FTN has O'Malley debating Christie, particularly on same-sex marriage legislation, since it has had two very different outcomes in their respective states.

Last week all the MAJOR Sunday shows had ONLY men, and NO women at all.

This week according to the OP there will be 'almost' all men again on the major Sunday shows!

You would have thought with all the griping everyone did last week about the lack of women on the major shows that they would have invited MORE FEMALES this week!

p.s. I do not count Jan Brewer as being on the side of women
