I had to delete a lot of Facebook friends today.

Here's the thing. I'm sick and tired of every time a Black person murders a White person I have to read story after story of every deplorable thing a Black person has done for the last 20 years. In none of these stories did the Black persons go free, they were all arrested and prosecuted. Just because the Black community demands justice for an unarmed teen being murdered all the sudden we're racists and for not ignoring it, and are experiencing major black-lash from the Right Wing media. Then I have to read post after post, about how the media under reports Black on White murders. So I did a little experiment which I welcome everyone who's reading this to try. Google White on Black Murders, and 99.999999% of the stories you'll find are Black on White murders, each and everyone. Thus eviscerating the falsehood that the media only focuses on White on Black murders.

It analogous to how they see gays and women.

I don't mind gays I just wish they would stay in the closet.
Blacks should stop complaining so much.

They bitch, moan and belly ache all day long but so much as hearing other people problems makes them down right angry. It is part of that whole "repubs are sociopaths" problem. You know those people you meet that actually bristle up and become visibly agitated when you tell them your problems? They are sociopaths with no empathy and don't know how to cope sensitively with others. They are also Repubs.

I debated it for more than a year and then thought that I may have been friends with them at one time but I've changed.
I got so sick of the hatred for the President, the gun-crazy stuff and "Welfare Queen" bullshit, I realized that I have not a thing in common with these "Friends" anymore.
It is probably the most effective statement you can make to them. The only one that gets through their little echo chamber of like-minded bigots and angry, miserable dittoheads. I haven't regretted it at all.
Some people just hide those specific "friend'" updates so they don't have to see it. For me, that was the same as tacit approval of their ugly positions.
It's tough, but if they really are your friend, they'll ask you to "take them back".
Only one of the 20 of mine did and we had a great conversation (online). I refriended her right away.

A box will pop up and ask if you want to change what you see from that particular poster. Change it to "only important" and it will block out a lot of shared crap without having to delete the friend. HTH.
