Kookie ROBERTS just used the "equalizing" rhetorical gimmick with the Jon KARL B.F.E.E. flack

As for KARL first, every time he substitutes for STEPANOPOULIS, he has found some way to kiss BUSH ass, as in, it's Father's Day, therefore let's show Poppy BUSH as the FATHER OF US ALL!1 And then the next time, making airtime to feature one shrub or another. What is he, like consigliere Brit HUME, a soldier in the B.F.E.E.?!1 (O.K., so I mix my B.F.E.E. consigliere/soldier titles!1)

But on to Kookie. Too bad I find a need to snipe at her so soon after the death of her wonderful mother Lindy BOGGS/TRUE LIB/DEM, but nobody changes stripes, neither her nor insignificant me.

So the topic was the release of more/final tapes of NIXON displaying the non-news of what a gigantic weasel criminal prick he was, and what does Kookie say???????!1 Something like, paraphrasing, "Well, nothing to see here, there are also some LBJ tapes..."

And there is the EQUALIZER trick, the fuzzying up of things, blurring lines, everybody does it, no difference, etc. Like back in the day when Wolf BLITZER and Judy WOODRUFF were TIRED of fighting the perception that they were Libs and would therefore kiss all over any wingnut/scoundrel and then BLOODY UP any Dem that showed up.

Just once how about dealing with ONE piece of something for ITSELF without immediately comparing something else to it, letting the WHAT IT IS be what it is.

what exactly Kookie MEANT but that he didn't think she was equating LBJ to NIXON. Ahhh ummmm, O.Kaaay. Repeating, he DIDN'T KNOW what she MEANT, but...

Then he went on to say he knows nasty things LBJ's media company did to smaller fish but won't commit them to the NSA via e-mail. So I responded that I read CARO's monumental bio of LBJ, each volume a brick, and am well aware of what a prick he was as a person.

But notice what happened here? One word about NIXON and we, too, immediately zoomed to endless war stories about what a prick LBJ was and ne'er another word about NIXON. Something like, it goes without saying ho-hum?!1

A real trooper. Storm trooper, that is. A couple months back...

NPR reporter mockingly said Snowden thought CIA might send the MAFIA after him.

"He actually suggested in that interview that the CIA might send the Mafia after him. That seems probably a little far-fetched." -- Tom Gjelten to Linda Wertheimer

It's no joke. Doesn't anyone at NPR remember how the CIA hired the Mafia to kill Castro?

FTR: That was 1960 when Ike was president, Nixon was veep, and Dulles headed CIA.

5. She's in the money and wants to hold on to it. Very Republican perspective -- 'No more's coming...'

"What to do? What to do?"

"Will it ever rain again? Oh my."

So, Republicans, like the crooks they are, grab all the can whenever they can.

Democrats believe -- or at least we used to believe -- Happy Days were coming and the Best Days are ahead.

All it takes is everyone working together and sharing in the prosperity.

Alas, that's not a very Republican state of mind.
